How do you find an overseas pen-pal?
My friend and I have always had this little…well I guess you could call it a "dream" to have an international pen-pal. And we're talkin' about the good old fashioned writing a letter pen-pal, none of that email stuff. And we have been looking for information about getting involved in it, but are having a BIG problem… we would also not like to have to pay a lot to become apart of some pen-pal program. We're in college and kinda broke more than half the time.
If you have any idea how to help please answer. Thanks! =)
when i was a child there was a penpal company located in finland we used to pay $1 per person choose countries and fill out the form for couple of ppl, they got back to us with names and address of penpals.I think with the advance of internet, that thing should be over but i checked online and found you a link: http://www.interpals.net/country/Finland you may want to check it out.
Also next month i am going to Turkey to visit my family and than possibly to syria to visit in-laws, i can pass your info (although i dont know how)onto one of the niece, nephews, friends..etc
Here my my fovorite penpal websites.
Just try these! And these are all free.
I bet you will find your own penpals very soon.

Hope I helped
I dunno,but that sounds cool.
i got a pen- pal like this i wrote a friendly letter then went on the internet looked at italy used a soficticated way of picking the adress,(fliped a coin) then mailed the letter 1 month after a letter came back it was from a 60 year old woman who lives at the grand canal in vinice. she was real nice i still mail her letters its been 2 years now. having a pen pal can make the person your sending to happy because the lady she was all alone her husband died and her family were ***holes and left her. but any way just try what i did chose random country by hanging up a chart of the world and throw darts at it when you get your country find a random street in a random city and mail a friendly letter telling them you know about being a pen pal. make sure to ask your parents about it. ok
Good Luck!
